Liquid rhinoplasty with nose piercing?

I’m considering getting dermal fillers for my nose to make my nose wider and more upturned (I have a slim nose, and want to make it bigger at the sides). However I have a nose piercing that goes through the side of my nose and I’m wondering if they will be able to put filler in that spot if I have the hole there?

That’s a thoughtful question. In cases where there is a nose piercing, dermal fillers can generally still be placed for liquid rhinoplasty, but there are a few considerations. The area around the piercing needs to be carefully evaluated because the presence of scar tissue or the piercing tract may influence how the filler distributes in that region. In some situations, the injector may choose to avoid placing filler directly through the piercing tract to minimize the risk of irregularities, poor filler placement, or infection.

As for your goals of making the nose appear wider and more upturned, filler can help in creating subtle shape changes and definition, though there are limits compared to surgical rhinoplasty. Filler migration is uncommon when performed properly, but placement technique and anatomical considerations (such as your piercing) play an important role.

A skilled injector will assess the piercing site, surrounding tissue, and overall nasal structure before deciding the safest and most effective approach.

In general, nonsurgical nose jobs may not be the best option for achieving an upturned nasal appearance. The best the most predictable way to lift somebody's nasal tip appearance is with rhinoplasty surgery. If you like, considering asking a question with photographs. I hope this is helpful. Putting filler in a nose makes things bigger. If a long nose becomes upturned, that makes the *length* of the nose "smaller," not bigger. So: filler can't make your nose upturned. Only surgery can do that. Sorry.
