Is the skin supposed to peel after a face Halo laser treatment as an indication of its efficacy?

Is the skin supposed to peel after a face Halo laser treatment as an indication of its efficacy? If the skin does not peel at all, does that mean the laser was too weak to penetrate the dermis? I am worried about paying $2000 for one face session that doesn’t work. Thank you.
