Old filler causing issues. What are my options? (Photo)

Question

I have had filler in the past, my last injection was maybe 3 years ago. I feel like my nasolabial folds are made worse by migrated filler from the last cheek filler I had, which I believe was done superficially and in my mid cheek under my eyes. I have had previous filler in my tear troughs (6-7 yrs ago), cheeks, lips and temples. What do you think? I'm considering hyaluronidase but may not be a candidate due to possible bee allergy. What can I do? I hate my smile/cheeks.

Typically, hyaluronic acid based fillers do not last longer than 1-2 years. There are fillers that are not hyaluronic acid based that would need operative intervention to remove the substance. Without knowing which specific type of filler you had, I am not able to confidently recommend one versus the other.
Going to an advanced injector who can perform physical exam to assess location of possible migrated filler will be crucial to successful management.
Regarding your bee allergy, make sure to do an allergy skin test before getting injection to face. They should be able to inject a small amount into skin and observe for 30-45 minutes for your body's response

There are ways of figuring out if you are allergic or not to hyaluronidase. You could get a tiny amount applied in your forearm to check if your body is tolerant to the agent, if not, there is very low possibility of you having a reaction to this procedure.

As a general rule, fillers, do not migrate, unless they were injected into the area where it is not being desired. The only area where fillers such as hyaluronic acid can migrate is it around the lower eyelid area. Your face appears to be extremely thin, and maybe even gone looking. I would recommend face fat grafting, which should provide you with absolutely amazing results as long as it’s done by a plastic surgeon who specializes in fat grafting techniques.
