Hi, I feel like i have a mild case of congenital symmastia. I find it to be more obvious when I'm in a slouching position. But I just wanted more opinions on this. Since it is rare, I'm not sure if getting implants will make it worse as well. And if i were to fix it, will get come back later on? What procedure is recommended for correcting this?
Answer: Symmastia Your photos do indicate that you have symmastia. You can still be a candidate for breast augmentation but implant selection is important. Be sure to visit with an experienced board certified plastic surgeon for a consultation.

Answer: Bellesoma Method The weight of your breasts is stretching your skin envelope and your breasts are descending onto the lower chest or upper abdominal wall. The technique I recommend is a lift using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Symmatia Provided the implants are narrow-based, and pocket dissection is cautious, breast augmentation should minimize the appearance of symmastia. Selective liposuction may also be a useful tool, particularly if you did not want larger breasts.

Answer: Symmastia Dear Caring5501, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it doesn't look like you have symmastia. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Symmastia Yes, I feel that you do indeed have a type of symmastia, giving a sort of 'web' between the breasts. Breast augmentation is still possible and may look great, but the dissection has to be very carefully done ( and not 'overdone'). Suggest you choose a surgeon with a lot of experience. Hope this helps.
