Can heat from BBQ on the face after Botox and Juvederm filler affect the results?

Question

I received a Juvederm filler and Botox treatment on my face. After 24 hours, I was BBQing. Could the heat of the BBQ affect my results, or "melt" the Juvederm and cause it to shift? Could the heat affect the Botox treatment? Thank you

Heat from the BBQ cannot effect the result of those injectables.  I often do patient laser treatments on the same day without any effect to the filler.  Especially if the filler was injected on the bone, but not even if injected more superficially.  I wish you the best of luck, Dr. Emer.

Heat does not affect Botox or Juvederm after injection.  I advise our patients to avoid exercising f oh or the rest of the day after receiving Botox injections as the increased blood flow may affect the predictability of the results.  I also advise our patients not to massage juvederm after it is injected.  I have the patient's followup with me in 1-2 weeks after injection and, if modification is needed, my staff or I will perform that for our patients.
