Can I get botox in the procerus only, and not the corrugator muscle? If so, what would be the result? Would it help to lift the medial brows? I'm worried botox in the corrugator would make brows droop a little. Thanks!

Answer: Dropping the brow with Botox Botox works at the neuromusclar junction and decreases the muscle function. Both the procerus and corrugator muscles act as depressors of the brow, and application of Botox to these muscles will prevent them from pulling the brow downward and medially. In order to prevent the brow from dropping you should avoid having the frontalis injected, as this is the brow elevator. Be sure to have an experienced board-certified physician injector doing your injections.

Answer: Can Botox be injected into the procerus only? Certainly, Botox can be injected in the procerus muscle only. This will only reduce the horizontal crease on the top of the nose. The corrugator muscles are the muscles that create the vertical lines or the "11" in the glabella area (between the eyebrows).Your concerns can be specifically addressed by an experienced injector that understands the underlying anatomy.
