Jowls and double chin at 31 after weight loss - liposuction, Kybella, or Trusculpt? (photos)

Question

I lost 40 pounds through diet and exercise and now I'm beginning to see jowls form as I lose weight from my face. I also notice I still have a double chin. I'm not interested in a chin implant as I have small, deep set eyes and don't want a more bottom-heavy face. Would Kybella make the jowls more prominent or help with my neckline? Is liposuction safe for jowls? Is TruSculpt effective?

The advantage of Trusculpt vs both liposuction and kybella is that it provides both fat destruction and skin tightening effects. Removal of the fat cells without any skin tightening treatment may result in excess, saggy skin of the submentum .

you likely need a neck/facelift with buccal fat pad reduction to really give you what you need. alternative is morpheus and facetite.

most of my younger clients use fillers to give them shaping especially on the cheeks, jawline, and chin which make the face look more slim and tight; and threads such as PDO or Instalift can build collagen and support the facial shaping and skin looseness over time, slowing down the aging process and given the face a more “snatched” look; and morpheus deep microneedling RF can tighten crepe skin especially on the neck and jawline and is great for long term tightening of the full face, neck and chest; its often used to give the face a slimmer more sculpted look because it tightens the skin and gives lift.  an early face lift can be performed as well even in younger clients if they want a different facial shape, maxillofacial surgery with bone breaking or shaving can also be done.

For facial slimming a combination of treatments are always needed.  Options include:
1. Buccal fat pad removal to reduce fat on the lower face
2. Factite or Renuvion/J Plasma to tighten the lower face, jawline, and chin to reduce fat and give the jawline and neck tightening and shaping.
3. Botox to the masseter to reduce the muscular size of the jaw giving the face an illusion of being more slender
4. Fillers to the jawline, chin, cheeks, temples and brow help to shape the face and make it more angled and defined

There are a bunch of treatment options out there but the Jowls are a hard place to get a good treatment. For an easy and noninvasive treatment look into the INMODE Evoke, no downtime and a quick and easy process.

There are several options.   
Liposuction is an option but the most invasive in nature.

Kybella is an injectable which is a good option but significant swelling and bruising can be present for 1-2 weeks after therpay.

Trusculpt ID is another nice option using heat to kill fat and tighten skin.  The advantage over Kybella is significantly less edema and bruising. Trusculpt ID is typically 3 sessions 1 week apart but additional sessions can be done if more tightening is needed.  Would recommend waiting 3 months before more sessions.

Another option if trying to address the lateral neck is Venus Legacy.  This can tighten a larger area of the neck but doesn't kill fat as much as Kybella and Trusculpt ID.

The good news is that these are all good therapeutic options.
