Has anyone had success treating lipomas with truSculpt?

I have a large lipoma on my shoulder and I'm looking into non surgical alternatives to excision. I just want to avoid scarring and I’m nervous about general anesthesia. Any input or experience would be great. Thanks!

noninvasive devices, kybella, even liposuction dont often work for lipomas. most need to be removed surgically. I suggest you see an expert.  Best, Dr. Emer.

The proven method of removal of a lipoma is with surgical excision.  This would not necessarily require a general anesthetic.  In regards to alternative treatments, these would be considered somewhat experimental.  I do not believe that truSculpt or any other energy based fat reduction device would be successful in removing a lipoma.  One potential non-surgical treatment would be with Kybella injections.  I have not used this to try and remove a lipoma and not sure how well it might work.
