Why won't 5 doctors bother to look up "back mice" after admitting to never hearing of them, not refer me to an orthopedic surgeon like I requested politely, and prolong my pain by sending me to any one but an orthopedic surgeon..(dermatologist, pain clinics)?

Thank you for sharing your question.  Unfortunately you will have to discuss with your current physicians why they will not refer you to an orthopedic surgeon as episacral lipomas are well known as herniations of fat through the lumbar-sacral tissues.  These can be surgically treated by repairing the "tear" through which these small fatty deposits herniate through.  Best wishes.
