I had a lipoma removed from the outside of my thigh at the top in October 2016, it was the size of a small melon & still have swelling. I had a drain left in for two days after surgery & had it drained several times. In the beginning every week, then biweekly & then last time was in January 2017. I am still not able to sleep on this sise as it hurts (max 10mins) and this was my predominant sleepside. The lump is now still there and swollen will it ever go? Should I have it drained again?

Answer: Large leg lipoma removed and still sore with swelling almost 4 months later. Will it go?
Lipomas are benign fatty tumors that occur under the skin and less commonly within the muscle. They are associated with mild discomfort and a lump underneath the skin. It is always best to talk to an expert plastic surgeon to determine whether the lipoma is possibly a cyst or a tumor or hernia....
