Is my FUT scar stretched?

Question

Have been stressing slightly about my scar. Do you anticipate hairs will grow through it eventually? And do you think it could be hidden at a 3 guard buzz? I'm about 2 and a half months out from my procedure. Thank you.

FUT scars need more than 6 months to fully heal.  It’s unlikely that any hair will grow out of a scar.  Plastic surgeons ensure those scars are minimum just like FUE procedure

Hi and thanks for your question and photos.  Yes, your scar is a bit hypertrophic which means that it is a bit thicker then would be optimal.  I would give it at least 6 months to heal, but you may benefit from a scar revision in the future.  One of the very good things about Smartgraft FUE is that there is no linear scar as individual follicles are removed and transplanted.

Scar  area may restored with HT. You may have  a hair transplant surgery from scalp skinfollicular units to beard area with FUE to have hair on scar.

FUT scar depends on who the doctor was that performed the repair. Hair will not grow through the scar. With a 3 guard buzz the scar should be unnoticeable.

There is a very mild stretch to the wound. This is not atypical. I can't tell in the area above your ear which you have shown in a photo
