As the photo above indicates, my eyebrows are horribly assymetrical and it makes me really self-conscious about photos. It is also worse the more tired I am. I would like to match my left eyebrow as it is higher, and I think it looks nicer. What are my options?
Answer: Management of asymmetric eyebrows ( temporary and permanent) Patients with asymmetric eyebrows can improve their physical findings temporary (non-surgical) or permanently (surgically). For non-surgical treatment of asymmetric eyebrows, the patients could be treated with cosmetic neurotoxins like Botox. The results are evident in about 3 days and last approximately 3 to 4 months. Patients will require serial treatments to maintain the desired effect. For surgical options, an unilateral or asymmetric endoscopic brow lift will correct the deformity with a long lasting result (years). This is performed through small incisions located a the level of the hairline, making the scars inconspicuous once they are healed. Candidate patients can undergo with endoscopic brow lift under pure local anesthesia with minimal discomfort or pain, avoiding the need of going to sleep and its risks (general anesthesia or IV sedation risks). Patients interested in management of asymmetric eyebrows should consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.

Answer: Options to treat brow asymmetry Hello and thank you for your question. You have a couple of options for addressing your brow asymmetry. The first is injections of a neuromodulator like Botox into the appropriate forehead muscles to bring the brows into alignment. This procedure is quick and relatively comfortable, with no downtime afterward. The drawback is that the improvements are temporary and you will need to repeat the procedure every 3-4 months to maintain your results. Your second option is a surgical brow lift, which could adjust the brows and create balance to the face. I perform most of my brow lifts endoscopically, which means smaller incisions and quicker recovery for most patients. The procedure can be performed with local anesthesia and recovery is about one week. This would provide a more durable result without the need for repeat treatments. I recommend scheduling a consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon for further assessment and to discuss your options.

Answer: Start conservatively, then move on I agree with what my colleagues have said. For now, start with something simple, reversible, and less expensive: botox/dysport possibly in combination with fillers. See how far that gets you, and if it is not enough, consult with your surgeon about something more invasive.

Answer: Eyebrow asymmetry Eyebrow asymmetry can often be improved with either a completely one-sided brow lift or a brow lift that raises one side more than the other. The method chosen will depend on what other issues you wish to correct. Since it will vary depending on your specific situation, a consultation with a board certified facial plastic surgeon is necessary to determine the best approach.

Answer: Types of browlift for asymmetrical brows For short term neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, etc.) can help even the brows and a surgical limited browlift (modified browlift) will have long term results. Of course, there is a significant cost difference but at your younger age the surgical result last quite a long time.
