What to do on dimpling on forehead? (Photo)

Question

I was wondering if you could just tell me what these two dimpley marks on my forehead are, and why they occur. I did the research extensively but it's just made me even more confused. Can you please also recommend what type of Doctor I should see about it? Thank you so much!

Those two forehead areas look like indented acne scars. They would need to be excised and closed horizontally for improvement.

Dear vjeyatharan,

Thank you for your clinical post and
photograph.  A little more of clinical
history would be helpful as depressions like this with some hyperpigmentation
can be caused by many different inflammatory lesions.  This can be following acne scarring or
chicken pox scarring.  It can be
inflammation of any nestle structure in your skin such as sweat glands or
pilosebaceous glands and could be sun damage or precancerous growths.  These can often be treated with simple lasers
that take out the brown such as the PicoSure or PicoWay and fractional devices
such as fractional CO2 or fractional needle-based devices to smoothen the skin.

Surgical excision would leave a
horizontal scar and is usually reserved for more serious cases.  At this point, a consultation with one of the
SpaMedica dermatologists would be your next best step.
