Whats the deal with Saphire FUE?

Excellent question. It sounds to me as marketing tool. Of course, we have been using micro blades (Sharp Point, Minde, Razor blades, etc,) and micro needles with excellent results and hair growth for the past 20-25 years and the only difference between Saphire vs stainless steel/titanium blades is SURGEON'S PREFERENCE. The instruments for making the recipient sites are very important but the MOST IMPORTANT is the hair surgeon training and experience. Good luck.

Today, a variety of surgical instruments are available for incision creation, including custom-made or sapphire blades. Sapphire FUE is the name some clinics use to describe the use of sapphire blades for the creation of the recipient sites during an FUE procedure. Sapphire FUE is not a hair transplant method, but rather a placing technique.

Sapphire blade is nothing special or proprietary or improves the surgical outcome.We have used all,choi and lion implanter,sapphire blade, sp blade,cts blade and then have chosen needles as they work the best for us. We don't use sapphire blade as the combination of size and sharpness is not as favorable as needles. So it is surgeons choice what suits him best and he is comfortable with.

Saphire FUE refers to the tool used to make the slits in the scalp to introduce the harvested hair graft into. It does not alter at all the way FUE harvesting occurs.

Indeed there is a lot of vocal support for Saphire blades.
I have both type of blades, and for now there is no real advantage or disadvantage to either method.If used by skilled and experienced hands both will give an equal result.
