Liposuction, no matter how large or how small causes fluid shifts and blood loss. The larger the volume the greater these shifts/loses are. The amount of liposuction that you can undergo safely also depends upon your age and general health. That having been said, most plastic surgeons will limit outpatient liposuction to around 5 liters. I believe it is okay to combine these procedures if the lipo is not very extensive. Generally, I like to limit surgery to about six hours per setting, otherwise I would split them up.
