Can you have a c section after lipo?

Question

I have one child im 23 and my stomach is a little bit lose i almost had to get a c section but ended up dilevering vaginally i want to get lipo now but I also want another child in the future but I'm worried I might end up getting a c section so if I did end up having to get a c sectione I did lipo when im ready to have one in the future is there going to be complications with my lipo and will my stomach look bad or go back

I generally discourage patients from getting abdominal liposuction until they have completed their family. but its your call. the procedure will have no baring on your C-section

Having a c-section after liposuction is not a problem, and the liposuction may even help prevent you from developing stretch marks.  A bigger question may be whether liposuction will be the right procedure for you if you have loose abdominal skin.  Your consultation should include a discussion of all available options.

Having liposuction of the tummy now will have no bearing on a future C-section, should you need one.

Thanks for the query. Undergoing a liposuction affects only the subcutaneous tissue or the fatty tissue lying below the skin and therefore will not interfere with pregnancy in the future. However one should plan this pregnancy only after six months or later after a liposuction and after all has settled well after the surgery. Tummy tucks may include tightening the rectus muscle and skin and therefore should be planned only after one has completed with all  the planned pregnancies. best wishes, Dr Alexander
