I suffer from nasal congestion and asthma and am trying to wean myself off of antihistamines and inhalers. I am now taking many herbs and supplements and want to know if it's safe to do Botox and fillers when my symptoms are daily.

Answer: Can I do Botox and fillers if I suffer from allergies and asthma? Thank you for your question. Dermal fillers or Botox have not been shown to trigger allergies and/or asthma. Allergies to fillers and Botox, or other neuromodulators, are extremely rare. I recommend discussing your allergies with your injector. All the best, Dr.Michon

Answer: Botox for patients with allergies/asthma Thank you for your question. Allergies to Botox and hyaluronic acid fillers are exceptionally rare, so it would be highly unlikely for these products to trigger an exacerbation of your seasonal allergies or asthma. While there are a handful of drugs that can interact with Botox, I'm not aware of any allergy or asthma medications that do so. As with any doctor's appointment, it's a good idea to bring a list of all of your medications and supplements to your consultation with your dermatologist or plastic surgeon. They should be able to advise you specifically as to whether or not any of your medications will pose an issue. Best of luck!
