Hi, I recently went to a surgeon because the skin between my eyebrow and eye is falling over my eye. I wanted to cut some skin out, but he told me that I was to young for that kind of surgery (I am 31). He recommended that in the main time I should try Botox or something else. I had offers for lipo-laser, Botox, IPL and so forth... I am so scare never done anything in my face. Any recommendations?
Answer: Eyelid surgery #blepharoplasty #microfatgrafting #recovery Dear Naty82Thank you for your question! There are several options for your eyelids.... you are not too young for eyelid surgery- BUT I can not give an opinion without a proper consultation. With Warm RegardsTrevor M Born MD

Answer: Droopy skin on upper eyelids It is not unheard of to have an upper blepharoplasty at your age if you are bothered by the excess skin on your upper eyelids. Non surgical treatments may help temporarily but you will likely need surgery eventually. Get a second opinion if you are not comfortable with the first surgeon's advice. Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in blepharoplasty and can show you before and after photos of his or her work.

Answer: Eyebrow Droop I don't think of age as a major factor when considering the best way to address a patient's concern. Neurotoxins like botox are a good option for patients who prefer not to have surgery and are willing to accept a temporary result. Usually, botox can be used to weaken the muscles that pull down the eyebrows and work to elevate them.

Answer: What's the best way to deal with the skin below my eyebrow drooping over my eye? Treatment options will vary from individual to individual. While the majority of patients seeking this procedure are 35 or older, if droopy, baggy eyelids run in your family, you may decide to have eyelid surgery at a younger age. Upper eyelid surgery involves the removal of fat, excess skin and muscle. Be sure to visit with a Board Certified surgeon who will advise you of your surgical options.

Answer: Best way to deal with the skin below my eyebrow drooping over my eye? Most expert experienced artistic plastic surgeons have a variety of procedures, both non-surgical and surgical, at their disposal to produce excellent cosmetic results in the appropriately selected patient: lasers, neuromodulators like Botox or Dysport, blepharoplasties, and brow lifts. Each has benefits and drawbacks and depends on desired outcome and individual anatomy. In general lasers will produce minimal if any improvent and IPL is not a traetment for upper lid laxity. Following the advice of anyone who would presume to tell you what to do without seeing photos and without taking a full medical history, examining you, feeling and assessing your tissue tone, discussing your desired outcome and fully informing you about the pros and cons of each option would not be in your best interest. Find a plastic surgeon that you are comfortable with and one that you trust and listen to his or her advice. The surgeon should be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. Robert Singer, MD FACS La Jolla, California
