Is There a Non-surgical Method to Remove Extra Fat from Eyelids? (photo)

Question

It is not very apparent in the photo, but I have extra fat in my left eye which makes my eyes look uneven and makes make-up application more difficult. Is there a non-surgical method (perhaps laser) to remove the extra fat from my left eyelid?

You do have left upper eyelid pseudoptosis. The left eye appears to rest lower in the face than the right eye. This relative left hypoglobus does account for the difference in how the left upper eyelid fold drapes compared to the right. I also get the impression that there is a bit more laxity of the pre platform skin on the left compared to the right. A very careful detailed consultation is essential to determine precisely your concerns. It is your job to be absolutely certain that you and your surgeon are communicating. In summary, I don't think extra fat is your issue and no fat can't be removed except by surgery.

The only way to remove fat safely from the eyelids is by direct excision is part of a blepharoplasty.

Unfortunately what you are asking is not possible. Furthermore in looking at the photo provided, there is no excess fat to remove, even surgically. Any fat removal will make your eyelids hollow. If you would like an increased platform to apply make up, a conservative excision of skin will help.

There is no non-surgical method to remove excess skin from the upper eyelids.  You appear to have a normal shape to your eyes and I would not recommend surgery at this point.

Fat removal on either the upper or lower eyelids is performed surgically to improve the puffiness look to eyelids. Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure. The primary goal for the upper eyelid surgery is removal of extra skin and a little bit of herniated fat, while the goal of a lower blepharoplasty is to remove herniated fat and a little bit of skin.
