Hi doctors. I was wondering if there is a safe procedure out there that can create a beauty spot where none existed before. I know there are some women out there who are curious aboiut this as well.. Intradermal micropigmentation, or cosmetic tattooing, is like applying permanent makeup. The process takes about 20 minutes and is performed under a topical anesthetic. Cosmetic tattoos can camouflage scars or add definition where needed. Tattoos may be dark and shiny at first; they fade to their true, permanent shade in about three weeks.

What an interesting question. Beauty spots are actually known in dermatology as nevi and are composed of melanocytes, the cells that make pigment. To date, there are no reliable methods to create melanocytes or to stimulate them to develop and produce pigment in a controlled fashion. Seeing a tattoo artist to see if they could mimic such a spot would be an option, but not something that I would recommend.
