Is the Zoom bleaching package suppose to come with whitening trays? Box said trays included, but there weren't any in the box.

I am not sure why you were given at home gel without a medium to carry the gel and direct the gel properly on the teeth ie. Custom whitening traysTrays can be used solely for at home whitening.  They can be used for a boost or maintenance following in office zoom.  Additionally we use them as a means to Optimize in office Zoom results. I have my patients who are willing to put in the extra time and expense for whiter longer lasting teeth to start with 2 weeks of Day or Night at home Zoom whitening in custom whitening trays that we make up for them, This primes the teeth for the in office power whitening, Once a patient finishes the in office Zoom session they are instructed to use the Zoom Day or Night White for an additional 2 weeks once sensitivity has diminished.After that patients are given touchup gel and teeth whitening pens to be used in their whitening trays when they feel the teeth are starting to lose their brightness. Regardless, as these trays are custom lab made we do have a fee to fabricate the trays for our patients and patients have an option to add this to their treatment.

In order to use the take-home whitening, you need to have custom trays made by your dentist.  When patients purchase take-home whitening from my office, we always make the custom trays at no additional cost.  If you bought the whitening gel from your dentist, then they will usually make your trays, but if you bought the gel from another dentist or online or something, then there would be a fee to have a dentist make you custom trays.  Good luck and I hope this helps. The trays for take home whitening have to be custom made. The dentist will take impressions of your mouth and use those to create custom fitted trays for you. You then add a small drop of whitening gel to each tooth in the tray and place it in your mouth for about an hour. Without the trays you would not be able to use the home whitening kit.
