What Results are Possible with Clear and Brilliant Laser?

I am a 56 yr old Hispanic woman with light olive skin.In 2003&2004 Dr. Geronemus treated me with a series of Laser facials–Cool touch laser-12 treatments in 2 years & in 2005 1 fraxel treatment(early Blue dye version)Results:tighter pores,smooth texture&wrinkle free skin. This year with a 10lb weight loss I am suddenly seeing skin laxity,fine wrinkles & crepe-y texture. My dermatologist feels the Clean+Brilliant laser could improve my face&decolletage. What results are achieved with this laser?

Clear and Brilliant targets the epidermis. This is a minimal downtime laser which gently improves skin tone and texture with a single 10-20-minute treatment. It is 2 devices in 1, offering both the 1440nm handpiece for skin rejuvenation and the 1927nm Permea handpiece for pigmentation improvement.   For best results, you need four treatments, one month apart.

Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery.

In my opinion, the Permea (1927nm vs 1440nm) will be a great addition to your treatment. It can brighten the appearance of your skin, as well as reduce fine lines and lift pigment! It is recommended to have at least 2-3 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart. C + B is great for minor pigmentation issues, and minor wrinkles and fine lines. It is a gentle laser. It is NOT a corrective laser. The more gentle something is the less deep it us and the less correction you will experience. This is a good laser for youngish crowd that have minor cosmetic issues. I perform a series of 6 separated by 2-4 weeks.
