What is the best product to use when cleansing after a breast reduction?

I'm 8 days post op and have been cleared to shower/bathe. I was wonder if there is anything specific I should look for in a body wash or cleanser or if I should even use something like that? I've just been running warm to cool water over my chest but I'm concerned that isn't enough. I don't want to slow my recovery process down and risk an infection because I'm not keeping the area sterile enough. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Simply wash with soap and water.  You do not require any special cleansing agent.  Be sure to dry the area thoroughly.  If you have any questions regarding your post operative instructions, contact your surgeons office for clarification and they will be happy to answer your questions.

Just about any soap that you are used to will work. Gentle ones like Ivory, Dial or Dove if you don't have a specific brand or ones without perfumes.

Simple soap and water, and then complete drying are the simplest and most effective way to look after your wounds.  Bacteria and yeast love moisture so make sure to dry off completely.  If you have bandages, do not leave them damp wet.  Use a hair drying to dry them off completely.
