Non-surgical treatment for capsular contracture (BA)?

Singular is a good medicine to help with capsular contracture as is vitamin E.  I prefer Cipro or Levaquin as it has better sensitivity against staph epidermidis than doxycycline.  Staph epidermidis is normally an innocuous bacteria found on the skin or within the breast that acts differently when it is on a manmade device and forms a biofilm.  That biofilm is like a slime layer that makes it somewhat resistant to white blood cells and antibiotics.  The Aspen After Surgery treatment takes advantage of ultrasound specifically designed for the breast to disrupt the biofilm and make the medications more effective.  In light of the age of your contracture and the gradation you describe, you should have at least a 75% response rate to Aspen After Surgery.  I hope this has been helpful.

Thank you for your question. A recent study revealed that Accolate (not Singulair) improved capsular contracture in 75% of patients. The fact you have only a Baker 2 Contracture also bodes well for improvement.
