I have been wearing my surgical bra and resting. On my 2nd day post op I asked if I could ice them my doctor suggested not to and in a week if they hadn’t moved I would be given a band. I know it is still fresh out of surgery but I need to know if they will drop or what I can do to help them drop.
Answer: Implants are high early post op I would expect your implants to be extremely high at 4 days after surgery. If your implants were in a ideal position 4 days after surgery I would be really really worried! Follow up with your PS as planned and rest easy that everything looks good so far! BH

Answer: Is It Normal For My Breasts To Be This High Thanks for your question! Based upon your photos and my experience of doing thousands of breast augmentation surgeries, I’d say that you look just fine for 4 days post op. You could ask your surgeon about wearing a band to help guide the implants downward, & when (& if) he/she will recommend implant massage. I think that these maneuvers will help your implants “settle out”, which can take 6 months or more. However, I really think that you’ll be happy in time with your results. Hang in there, and best of luck to you!

Answer: Implant dropping Dear laura_beth_tx,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process at 4 days post op.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: Is it normal for my breasts to still be so high 4 days post-op? I have also been told not to use ice. Hello dear!! Thanks for your question and provided information. I have to say that you are still early on healing process, it is too soon to determine what your results are going to be. Right now you might have one breast bigger than the other, feel swollen and also have bruises, it is normal and can happen for the first 3 to 4 months, until your implants have dropped and settle in. Hope this is helpful. Good luck :)
