Answer: Post op Breast Implants dear patient: thanks so much for your photos and question. I get this question often in my practice. The final result of where your implants will finally be set would be anywhere from four to six months post op. Two weeks is still too early to asess final results of implant positioning. At this time you should go to your post op appt and ask these questions to your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon! Good luck and patience! Answer: Implant dropping Dear chocolatenicky, dropping of implants is part of the healing process and this occurs after the tissues surrounding the implants slowly relax, allowing the implants to settle into their final position. It can take about four to six months for the implant to drop down to their final position.I understand that you are worried about your implants are not dropping as expected. However, you are still in the early phase of the recovery period. Please do allow some time for the healing process to occur. If after six months, you are not satisfied with the appearance of your breast, you can visit your plastic surgeon and discuss your concerns.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: 2 weeks post BA, right boob still much higher than left, and started to fall into the pocket; should I be concerned? Hello dear!!Thanks for your question and provided information. I have to say that you are still early on healing process, it is too soon to determine what your results are going to be. Right now you might have one breast bigger than the other, feel swollen and also have bruises, it is normal and can happen for the first 3 to 4 months, until your implants have dropped and settle in. Hope this is helpful. Good luck :)

Answer: HIgh implant Two weeks after surgery is very early. I would visit with your plastic surgeon often during these hard times. Hang in there and let enough time to go by before you make any decisions. Best wishes.

Answer: One implant dropped more than the other 2 weeks post op. Breast implants don't necessarily drop at the same time. 2 weeks is very early in the process and more settling would be expected. It is likely that symmetry will improve as both implants settle into their positions. Address this and any concerns with your surgeon as they will be able to give you an answer more tailored to you. With oral birth control as with and medication ask the doctor who prescribed it about the risks and benefits and be sure to tell them about your resent surgery. Enjoy your vacation.
