No one ever"needs" a rhinoplasty. It is an elective procedure and only you candetermine if your nasal features concern you enough to do something aboutimproving the cosmetic appearance of your nose and whether it would beworthwhile.Following the advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposesto tell you exactly what to do based on limited 2 dimensional photos withoutexaminingyou, physically feeling thetissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history, anddiscussing the pros and cons of the operative procedure would not be in yourbest interest. I would suggest you find a plastic surgeon with extensive nasalsurgery experience who is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeryand ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery(ASAPS) or a facial plastic surgeon (ENT) that you trust and are comfortablewith. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person.Additional informationabout the procedure will help you decide if it is a procedure that you want topursue.Robert Singer, MD FACSLa Jolla, California
The photograph demonstrates a wide nose. Only the patient can answer the question if a new nose would look better , than perform a rhinoplasty to narrow the wide nose. Computer imaging performed in the office setting at the time of the consultation and examination would help give an idea of what the new nose would look like. For many examples of narrowing a wide nose, please see link and the video below
Whether or not your nose fits your face is really something that you will have to determine. No one else can make that decision for you.
That determination is completely up to you. If you like your nose, then it is perfect. If you would like a smaller nose, yes, you are a candidate for a rhinoplasty. The bridge could be thinned and brought in; the tip can be reduced. It may be a good idea for you to have a consultation with a Facial Plastic or plastic surgeon who performs a lot of rhinoplasty and discuss it with them.
With it ONLY 1 day post op no way to comment. Reviewing ALL you previous posting you already know that swelling occurs... Best to CALL your operative surgeon and be seen in person if you are soooo very worried.
Plenty of normal noses that have never had any surgery can create a clicking or popping sound or sensation when moving the tip of the nose around, as the lower lateral cartilages can slide and move against each other and create that sound. Unless you had a recent trauma with a change in the...
Dear Jorge,It would be very helpful if you can post some pictures. Absolute numbers are not indicative of anything. The nose is part of your face and should be proportionate to the other parts of your face. i would advise you to check with an ASAPS member who is experienced in nasal surgery to...
