When it comes to large volume fillers, there’s absolutely nothing more durable, with reproducibly good results, than Sculptra. I have personally been using Sculptra since 1997 in the Buttocks, hip dips, face and calf augmentation procedures. We’ve never had a patient who was not happy and then many patients their results lasted for many years. In Europe, there was a product called Macrolane, which, unfortunately was being used in Breast augmentations, because people thought that it was safe since it was made from hyaluronic acid, but most of the patients had severe complications. Gel like fillers, do not do well in the areas that have to bear a lot of weight, such as buttocks because the product becomes displaced from the weight of the body.
