What’s happened? Loose skin & dent 1 year post-op

Question

I am almost a year from my full tummy tuck with muscle repair. I did go in a few months back and have scar revision done. But now I have super loose skin along with a big dent in my lower stomach. Could you give me some advice as to what would need done if anything to correct the dent and loose skin ?

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

Really hard to tell much from this photo. If you have skin laxity and contour irregularities, you will almost certainly need an in-person exam to evaluate skin quality, laxity, tissue health, etc. before being able to provide options for revision surgery.

The one picture you have does not provide enough information to have a good idea of the loose skin you refer to. There is a visible concavity appreciated in your lower abdomen. I would recommend you see your plastic surgeon and have them examine you thoroughly so they can explain to you what needs to be done. You may need a revision surgery to help improve your results. When making assessment on the outcome of a procedure we need to see before and after pictures in a in a standing position. If you don’t have the pictures your surgeon took than ask him or her to forward those.
