I think the combination is actually helpful--especially if you use the calming and anti inflammatory wavelengths (red and infrared) in addition to the bacteria killing blue light. I am not aware of any studies on the subject so I can not say definitiveIy. However, have my teenage son on a 10% BPO and he comes to the office for LED light treatments when he can, with no issues.
