Hi @rox12345! I would recommend starting with 1 syringe. I recommend seeking treatments from expert injectors who have the skill and experience to precisely inject fillers into treatment areas and avoid risks and complications. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
Restylane is an excellent option for treating your tear troughs. Since this is your first attempt at treating this issue, I would not recommend a more permanent filler like fat. There is always time for that with your subsequent treatments after you have determined that you like the results. Also. I would start with one tube divided between both eyes (maybe not even a whole tube). Don't overdo! Natural is key!
Hi Rox. With your young age, you may be able to get away with 1 syringe. We would also suggest if this is the case, that the area between the pupil and the inner corner of the eye be the focus. For tear trough injections, the difference between using 1 and 2 syringes is often dependent on whether or not the outer eye is treated. If just the inner eye is treated (pupil to nose) then often 1 syringe is adequate. Best of luck.
Hi there! Thank you for your query. Judging from your images I would suggest you are an ideal candidate for tear trough filler treatment. Sometimes as little as 0.5ml under each eye can be enough product to produce effective results. Personally, I recommend the juvederm vycross range for soft and natural looking results. Make sure you discuss this in consultation with an experienced practitioner.Hope this helps!Best WishesDr. Rupert
Although I clearly understand why you would first point to the under eye region for direct treatment. However, it is important to emphasize than when considering recontouring and reshaping the face with volumizing fillers that the upper and mid-cheek regions are responsible for providing the support and buttressing to the under eye region without which there is the development of hollows, tear troughs, and sacs. Volume depletion in this critical zone is also responsible for the development and deepening of the smile lines and even for the incipient development of marionette lines. Accordingly I would suggest volumization of the cheeks, which would likely give rise to improvement in the under eye region
Hi Rox, fillers like Restylane Silk (as well as Belotero and Volbella) are good for improving under the eyes, but keep in mind that a combination approach will give the most improvement. We use a combination of fillers, lasers, microneedling/PRP and stem cells. I suggest consulting with an expert to develop a treatment plan best suited for you. Best, Dr. Emer
Hi thank you for your question. Restylane is a great choice for the tear trough. I also see great results with Restylane Refyne and Defyne. The under eye is a very delicate area. I always recommend to take it slow and start out with just 1 syringe. After 2-3 weeks most of the bruising and swelling should be resolved and then at that point you can make a decision with you provider whether or not more filler is right for you. Best of luck!
Based on the photos, I think you are a good candidate for undereye filler treatment. I would recommend starting with 1 (1 mL) syringe of Restylane, using half of the syringe per side. You can add more as need at a followup appointment but most of my patients do fine with just 1 syringe.
Thank you for your question! The best answer up front in the tear trough is always "less is more". Subtle enhancement goes a long way and this area requires a very delicate hand without aggressive intention. Complications can result including simple things such as unexpected fullness or even over correction. Arguably, based on the photos, a single syringe split between the two sides will likely showcase enough improvement that will solve the problem. I would then let the material subside and give yourself 2 weeks after the treatment to make an honest decision if it is 100% corrected to your satisfaction. If not then consider adding a small amount more to the area. All the best!!
It is my opinion that tear troughs are best treated with autologous fat grafting. Fat grafting creates natural and near permanent results. You need to be evaluated and treated by a plastic surgeon only who has extensive experience with fat grafting. Hyaluronic acid fillers in the lower eyelid almost invariably cause problems in the future. Good luck from New York City
Hi,Thank you for your question. Since it's only been 3 days since the injection, the area is still likely tender to touch. Theoretically, significant pressure/molding can migrate filler product in the initial weeks after treatment but if you're still happy with the contour/shape, likely there ...
It looks like you have some Restylane that was too superficially injected into your tear trough area. When this happens, it can become "balled up" as you are describing and even bluish or dark in color. The good news is that this HA filler can easily be injected with hyaluronidase and quickly ...
Great question! I almost never place filler at the vermillion border as sometimes this creates a shelf, unless the patient is older and has a weak or ill-defined border. Otherwise I generally just place the filler within the dry vermillion or the dry red part of the lip.Best of luck and ho...
