Horizontal neck lines in my 20s. Any suggestions? (photos)

The short answer is that it is a very difficult problem to correct and there are no really good treatments. Exercise helps. If you have submental fat or fat under your chin that is causing a crease to form below that then you might benefit from Kybella to dissolve the fat or a limited liposuction in that area. Botox in my opinion does not help and there are no skin tightening creams that remove horizontal neck lines.

Horizontal neck lines are very difficult to treat well.It is best to use creams and lasers on the skin and then maybe try Thermismooth treatments.  Surgery would be too aggressive at this young age.RegardsDr. J

Creases in the skin are a result of combination of muscles as they move in conjunction with the overlying skin. Although the crease areas indicate a redundancy of the overlying skin- they allow the body to move and have flexibility . As we age- the creases become more prominent. A neck lift can reduce this however at your age I suggest delaying this procedure until its benefits can be more measurable.

These neck creases in your 20's are quite common. From this view it is
difficult to determine the cause. If there is extra fat then the answer
could be liposuction with a small liposuction cannula. If there is
extra skin (which I doubt) you could add Laser Liposuction to the
procedure. If the creases only involve the skin then simple skin
tightening with laser, ultra sound or radio frequency would help. You
could also use a fractional laser to improve the elasticity in the skin
to improve the neck creases. There is an excellent Hybrid Fractional
Laser called HALO from Sciton Lasers.

Yes this is a tough challenge, so I would taper your expectations.  However, I have seen some modest results with ulthera for these horizontal lines.  Botox might also help and is worth a try.

thebowkid, you may benefit from chin surgery and a medial platysmaplasty but from the view chosen I cannot really tell. See an experienced facial plastic specialist; doesn't look to hard to improve! Good luck!

Horiztonal lines on the neck are normal. Everyone has them. They allow us to look up and down. Artists call these "the lines of Venus".  That being said, if you feel that you look older then your age, you should see a dermatologist to start with to see if there are some non-invasive techniques to help you look younger. Often, it is not the neck that looks aged but rather something on the face such as deep crows feet, which is easily softened with botox.Best of luck fighting the signs of aging.
