New skin distortion and loose skin after surgery - can this be improved? (Photos)

120 lbs, 42 year old post tummy tuck with umbilical hernia repair and muscle plication..…I did not have this loose looking skin prior to my surgery on this indention near my belly button..…so unhappy and don’t know what to do

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

To make a quality assessment regarding the outcome of any plastic surgery procedure we usually need to see proper before and after pictures.
If you don’t have your before, and after pictures and ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took.
Your pictures indicate you had a mini tummy tuck.I say this because it doesn’t look like you have a scar around your belly button.
Your belly button also looks like it’s being pulled down.
This would explain why you still have skin laxity of your upper abdomen, but not on your lower abdomen.
Usually muscle tightening is not done with a mini tummy tuck, but each plastic surgeon will have their own way of doing things.
I suggest you follow up with your provider or schedule a few in person second opinion consultations with other plastic surgeons.
For second opinion consultations come prepared bringing with you a complete set of proper before and after pictures and a copy of your operative report pad.
These are part of your medical record that you can request from your surgeon.
 The operative report will explain exactly what was done during your initial procedure.
