If a temp crown is seated too high, can I incur damage by not going in to have it fixed?

Question

I had a root canal done on this tooth 2 days ago. It's uncomfortable to bite down but not overly painful. My appointment is in 2 weeks. Is it worth the visit to fix a permanent crown? I have a dental phobia and the less visits the better. It was done by someone who was a beginner and took about an hour to fail at doing it so had someone come in and start the whole process over which took about 25 minutes. If it was high would they just grind it down in my mouth or take it all the way off again?

It is not unusual to have a slightly high bite with a temporary crown.  To fix it is often about 5 minutes and should be fixed (don't wait the 2 weeks).

yes for sure I suggest to see your dentist to file the crown down,since it will cause damage to your nerve of tooth causing pain and later may need root canal if stays in traumatic occlusion for long time

I would most definitely have them adjust the bite on your tooth. If your bite is off then this will prolong the soreness you are experiencing with the tooth. You are correct they will adjust the bite on the temporary and most likely not have to remove the temporary crown. This should not take a long time and should be a quick appointment.
