I am scheduled for an O-shot in a few weeks. I also, have recently scheduled a consult for Votiva for costmetic tightening on the clitoral hood and for internal tightening for less painful sex. How soon after O-shot can I start the votiva? Since votiva is 3 treatments, can I do 1 before my o shot and 2 after? I am nervous about the heat and microneedling effecting the o-shot results.

Recommended timing between O-Shot and Votiva After O-Shot → Votiva: Most providers recommend waiting at least 4 weeks, often 6 weeks, after PRP before doing radiofrequency treatments. This allows the PRP to settle and start tissue regeneration without competing stressors. Votiva before O-Shot: Doing Votiva before PRP is generally fine, but the tissue may be slightly inflamed from RF, which could make injection placement less predictable or cause more discomfort.

Thank you for asking the question of doing Votiva for vagina tightening and clitoral hood tightening at the same time as O Shot.

There is no study that has been done if the heat of Votiva will affect the PRP which is used for O-shot, As a result, I would suggest you do your O-shot one week after a Votiva treatment, not before.

Also looking at the picture,  you have provided,  you do have sagging vulva skin, as a physician who has used Votiva, you will not be able to fix this sagging skin with Votiva, I would suggest looking into Radiofrequency with micro-needling such as Morpheous 8, or Morpheous 8V which also can give you a better vaginal tightness.

As far as painful sex you need to have a detailed GYN exam to find the reason for it.

There is no need to separate the treatments. On the same day as your O-Shot you can have a Votiva treatment. 
If you are wanting a cosmetic improvement of your large hood I would recommend clitoral hood reduction rather than the temporary results from Votiva.
You're in your early 30s and having painful sex. Be sure to have a proper evaluation to determine the cause since Votiva isn't necessarily the answer.

First, Votiva is not a strong internal vaginal tightening device. In my experience, it provides only mild improvement at best and is not reliable for meaningful internal tightening, especially when it comes to improving discomfort with sex. If your main concern is functional tightening or improving pain during intercourse, we may want to explore more effective treatment options, including surgical or combination therapies.

That said, Votiva can offer cosmetic benefits externally, including minor skin tightening of the labia and clitoral hood area.

Now regarding the O-Shot®, I actually recommend doing the O-Shot immediately after your first Votiva session. This combination allows the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to penetrate deeper into the tissue, enhancing the regenerative effects and improving blood flow, sensitivity, and lubrication. It’s a protocol I use often with excellent results.

If you’ve already scheduled the O-Shot separately, I’d recommend doing the first Votiva session right before it, then spacing the next two Votiva sessions out every 4 weeks. There’s no downside to combining them, and the PRP won’t be affected by Votiva’s radiofrequency or heat as long as the sequence is properly timed.
