Does animation deformity go away?

Question

Does animation deformity go away? Considering going dual plane but worried about animation, happy if it just happens whilst I’m at the gym training shoulders or doing pull ups, however once I’m finished do they return back? Or will they move over time even if I wear supportive bras?

Animation deformity can happen with dual-plane or under-the-muscle implants because the pectoralis muscle moves over the implant when it contracts. It is usually most noticeable during chest exercises, pull-ups, push-ups, heavy lifting, or certain arm movements.
In most cases, the breast returns to its normal resting position once the muscle relaxes. So if it only happens during training and disappears afterward, that is typical animation rather than the implant permanently moving each time.
Supportive bras can help reduce bouncing and implant stress during exercise, but they cannot fully prevent animation because the movement comes from the pectoral muscle itself. A good bra is still useful for comfort and long-term support.
Animation usually does not “go away” completely if the implant remains under the muscle, but many patients notice it less over time as swelling settles and they get used to the feeling. In some patients it is mild; in others, especially very athletic or lean patients, it can be more visible.
If avoiding animation is your top priority, over-the-muscle placement may reduce that risk, but it can increase the chance of visible edges or rippling if you have thin tissue. My advice would be to discuss your tissue thickness, training style, and implant size with your surgeon. Dual plane may still be a good choice, but you should accept that some temporary movement during muscle contraction is possible.

Well when it is dual plane, you cannot totally eliminate the animation deformity. When you contract the pectoralis muscle, it will contract, eventually create a force that will pull up the rest of the tissues, in this case the implant capsule and implant itself.
But with careful positioning it can be minimized. Muscle should be positioned slightly above the midline of the implant, so it will not cover the lower half.
