 In general, reddish  or purple discoloration should fade with time. Vascular lasers or intense pulse light treatments may be considered for improving the discoloration on your nose. It's possible that treatment with pulsed dye laser or other vascular laser would improve this.  I would get a consultation with an experienced laser doctor to discuss in person.  It's very important to protect this area from the sun and wear daily sunscreen.  Regards,Dr. Ort

It looks as if the skin healed nicely after the occlusion. At this point you may be best to let it rest and see how the redness changes in the months ahead. Sometimes hyperbaric oxygen helps but thats mostly during the healing phase. I would see in the future about using a KTP laser to reduce the redness, there is probably a lot of newer smaller blood vessels in the area also creating this coloration. However at this point the problem is all cosmetic and full healing is the most important thing now.
