So i have a pretty big overbite and i show as much gum as i do teeth when i smile so i was wondering if there's a way to fix it? And if so how?
Answer: Correct Overbite First Hi, I would recommend first finding an orthodontist who can create a specific treatment plan to address your overbite. Braces are likely the best option. Once the overbite is corrected, then you should contact a gum specialist, called a periodontist, who can explain the options available for correcting your gummy smile. Braces may result in changes to your smile's appearance and it may not be a concern. The best gummy smile treatment is based on the causes of the condition. Once that's determined, you can choose the option that will achieve the aesthetic outcome you want.

Answer: Gummy smile there are different ways to correct your gummy smile. you can slightly shorten your teeth while simultaneously elevating the gum line with a lazer. In addition to thisveneers can be applied to change the color and smile profile. A little goes a long way. These are permanent changes so if you are adverse to making permanent changestry using botox above your lip.

Answer: Gummy Smile and Overbite Options Your options are dependent on some skeletal factors - you will need a 3-D radiographic analysis. You will need to seek out an orthodontist and possibly an oral surgeon too. It's very difficult to advise on a case such as yours with so little information. Get a couple of opinions... don't base your opinions on fees. You could be looking at an expensive proposition to correct this issue if oral surgery is involved. In the end, it will be a good investment for a couple of reasons... You will be more confident with your smile now and later you will have a better chance of saving your teeth. These deep overbites can be destructive when you get older.Hank D. Michael, DMD
