Areola dark 2 months post-op gyno surgery. Will this lighten up by itself? (photo)

Hello, Half of my left nipple has been darker than my right nipple which is healing very good in comparision. Is this something I need to worry about or will my nipple lighten up by itself. The darker areola tissue has the same texture as the rest of this nipple.

Thank you for sharing your question and photograph.  At times bruising takes a few days to reach the skin surface, but after 10 days this is unusual. I would see your surgeon to ensure that a small hematoma has not developed.  Hope this helps.
