Hey I'm having a breast reduction soon and I asked the doctor who will be performing the breast reduction how he will get rid of my bra bulge. He responded that he will do an mini arm lift but, how will that get rid of that is my question. Arm lifts are just for arms no? Here's a picture of the back and front of the problem. I really don't want to have small breast and bra bulge!
Answer: Bra bulge Thanks for your question. Its difficult to see the exact area from your pics but if ghe bulge is around the back (over the shoulder blade / scapula) you may be a candidate for VASER liposuction (depending on your skin qulaity). The alternative would be to consider a bra roll excision where the scar is placed in the bra line. Have a look at the link to see pics. All the best.

Answer: Accessory breast tissue Your pictures demonstrate that you probably have what is called 'accessory breast tissue' under your armpits. This can be dealt with by liposuction, direct excision, or a combination of these techniques at the same time as your breast reduction. It may leave you with an additional scar where this excess tissue is, but this will correct the problem. An arm lift will not solve it.

Answer: Bra bulge Thanks for your question! It may be possible to do liposuction to help or surgical excise the extra tissue in that area. I would suggest possibly getting a second opinion to see what your options are. Good luck!

Answer: Axillary incision This excess skin and fat can be excised using an axillary incision. If you want more of the arm done then an extension can be made down towards the elbow and do the entire arm as well as the axilla area. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: What surgery can be done to remove this bra bulge? (Photo) An axillary (or armpit) incision can be used to remove a small ellipse of tissue. This arm lift is best utilized for patients who have loose skin confined to the arm pit area or uppermost aspect of the arm. The procedure can be combined with upper arm liposuction in the right patient to produce a dramatic improvement in upper arm contour. The scar remains hidden within the armpit. The armpit procedure can be combined with the breast lift or breast reduction.
