I previously had a class 3 underbite which was corrected using braces and elastics. I now do not have an underbite, but I still have a crescent moon side profile with a short upper jaw and protruding lower jaw and chin. What would be the best way for a surgeon to fix this? Since my bite is correct, if they bring forward my upper jaw, my lower jaw would have to be brought forward as well... wouldn't that make my lower chin continue to protrude? Please help, I really dislike my profile.
