Is it normal to have pain 2 months after Rhinoplasty?

Two months ago I had a rhinoplasty in which a nose implant was inserted. The implant gave my nose an unpleasant appearance while inhibiting my breathing from the left nostril. A week after the first surgery the implant was removed through my right nostril. Now two months later I am experiencing pain in my nostril (a bitting sensation) accompanied with frequent sneezing and excess discharge from only my left nostril . Is this normal or could there possibly be an infection?

During the early part of healing the swelling in the nose can make 1 nostril appear larger than the other.You have to give it at least 6 weeks before evaluating the symmetry of nostrils.RegardsDr. J

Unfortunately, if your nose is crooked at 6 months it will probably remain crooked when its finished healing at 12 months.  It sounds like the cartilaginous part of your nose is crooked, and not the bony bridge.   I would suspect that you may have a deviated septum that was not fully ad...
