When to stop drinking before surgery?

Question

I am having a liposuction and bbl procedure, in addition to breast implant removal. I am an exotic dancer and usually consume 6-7 vodka drinks during my shift, 4-5 days per week. How far before my surgery date should I stop drinking?

My dear if you must drink something then go with wine or beer. ideally red wine because it is better for you.Hard alcohol inactivates the platelets which are responsible for forming proper clot. This means that drinking a lot before surgery could make you bleed more. And you my dear drink a lot.My advise is to avoid any drinking 10 days before surgery. If you just drink something in the 10 days before surgery then go with red wine and no more than 2 drinks a day.

Hi... Thank you for the question...  Every PS have different indicatios... I indicate my patient to stop the alcohol intake 7-10 days before surgery... I suggest you Talk to you surgeon

Greetings. I would advise to stop drinking 10 to 14 days in advance of any procedure. The risk of bleeding increases with alcohol consumption. Ultimately, your safety is the primary concern. Also, you should not drink alcohol after your procedures. Make sure to discuss this with your plastic surgeon. Good luck!
