I am 18 and never had any nose surgeries or broke my nose but I was born at 23 weeks. my nose really bothers me and it is one of my biggest insecurities. how can this be fixed

Answer: Asymmetrical nostrils Hello, pictures would be necessary to comment on the nostrils. In general, for the nostrils there are techniques symmetrize the nostrils which involve cartilage grafting or trimming the lower cartilages of the nose. Make sure to consult with plastic surgeon who can discuss the recovery and postop period of doing these procedures.

Answer: Asymmetrical nostrils Dear mynameislizzy, Nostril asymmetry can occur both in width and height and there can also be width asymmetries in nostrils. Generally, soft tissue reductions of the nostril base can fix vertical and horizontal discrepancies. Wedge resections can thin the apparent width of a nostril and generally most patients are pleased with these treatments.
