I am 18 and never had any nose surgeries or broke my nose but I was born at 23 weeks. my nose really bothers me and it is one of my biggest insecurities. how can this be fixed
Answer: Fixing nostril asymmetry Asymmetric nostrils can be secondary to various causes. It is best to have an in person consultation to examine and assess your nose. The cartilages that make up the tip can themselves be asymmetric--the lower lateral cartilages. Also, the septum my be deviated and this can cause asymmetry of the nostrils. A rhinoplasty can address these concerns.

Answer: Rhinoplasty procedure for asymmetrical nostrils A full set of pictures are required to determine what's making the nostrils asymmetrical. A rhinoplasty procedure can accomplish straightening the nostrils. Occasionally, a septoplasty is also required.

In general, for the nostrils there are techniques symmetrize the nostrils which involve cartilage grafting or trimming the lower cartilages of the nose. Make sure to consult with plastic surgeon who can discuss the recovery and postop period of doing these procedures.
