Thank you for your question. Usually we recommend to have 4 treatments every 4-6 weeks during first year , and then 1-2 treatments per year following years for maintenance.
We generally suggest PRP treatment 4 times per year. After the first year you can do it twice a year.
Unfortunately, there is no wide consensus on scalp PRP injections for hair loss in regards to frequency of sessions due to lack of landmark studies researching this topic. However, some institutions have created recommendations that may offer most hair loss patients a general timeline/frequency of sessions during the first year and subsequent years where the outcome may be optimal. This should be discussed with your specialist to optimize your outcome. As with most remedies/solutions for hair loss, the therapy should be continued in order to have the ongoing benefit of the hair loss treatment otherwise the hair loss may resume. Additionally, when choosing the right physician for this, make sure they are comfortable and experienced with scalp PRP injections as the depth of injections, frequency, and overall understanding of hair loss pathology is very important.
PRP kits such as integrity, REGEN, or Eclipse have different protocols. In my practice we recommend at least a maintenance treatment every 6 months. If you hair loss is more than anticipated despite nutraceuticals or oral medications I recommend PRP more often.
Hi! For the result need to be done 6 times. 1 time/per month. After you'll finish the session you'll take a break for 1 year. Later you can continue the same way.
Hello there! At our practice, we perform 1 session every four weeks. Total number of sessions varies for each patient, but usually ranges from 4-8 sessions. Some patients experience improvement even after one session, but for long lasting results, we recommend a full course of treatments as above and then one maintenance session every 6-12 months.
When it comes to hair loss, Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) hair loss therapy is quickly becoming one of the hottest treatments to address this issue. Hair loss therapy is a non-surgical treatment that involves injecting a patient’s scalp with a concentrated solution derived from their own blood. There is growing evidence that this process can stimulate hair growth in many people, thus avoiding the need for a hair transplant in some cases and enhancing a hair transplant in others. With this type of therapy, we normally recommend three treatments as the initial treatment about 4-6 weeks apart. After this session, the patient may choose to have follow-up treatments every four to six weeks for optimal results.
