I'm a woman, 45, with biopsy-proven AGA. 16 months ago, I quit minoxidil after 2 weeks bc of side effects but shed heavily for 5+ months. On my doctor's advice I just quit spironolactone after 3 weeks (25 mg dose) bc of extreme itching on scalp and body & it made my seb derm flare. I'm shedding 200-300 hairs/day since stopping (I shed extra from day 2 of spiro). Given my history of instant heavy shedding, would PRP help stem my current shed? Are there certain PRP protocols more likely to help?
