Injecting a dermal filler in the forehead is an advance technique and is not a common procedure even for an experienced injector, but yes it is possible.

Over the past couple of years I've been noticing this groove in my forehead getting deeper. It extends from my hairline to my eyebrows. Is this something that can be made less obvious with a filler? Should I be concerned about this?

We have 2 types of wrinkles. Dynamic and Static wrinkles. Botox works well in dynamic wrinkles. Those that shows with emotions or expressions. For deeper wrinkles results are not effective. What type of wrinkles do you have?

Botox is not eliminating my crows feet, although it used to. I get around 32 units of Botox for forehead, 11's and crows feet. My injector advises that only filler will help eliminate the crows feet. Is this common with aging?

Botox is a muscle relaxer. It works well only in dynamic wrinkles. In static wrinkles can improve the appearance. You mention that you have been getting botox for the last 18 years. Botox works wonderful when we are younger, as we get old we need additional treatments to stimulate collagen and elastin. As we age we loose bone structure, we have loose of elasticity of the ligaments we loose muscle mass and fat. In addition we suffer a re-distribution of the face fat. I know is not nice, but the goal is to try to delay this process. You may need something else beside botox.

I've been having Botox for 15 years (I'm now in my 60's) &amp; noticed the last few times that Botox hasn't improved my crows feet. It also seems less effective around my forehead. I go to an injector with 18 years experience who is also a Dr. When I discussed my concerns last time with her, she advised that the Botox won't fix my crows feet and I need filler to correct it. She's conservative &amp; I get 22-30 units for around eyes/forehead. Is it possible that Botox stops working after long term use?

Dandruff can play a factor for your hair loss. Definitely, you need a healthy scalp to prevent hair loss. Then you have to look for other predisposing factors for hair loss such as age and hair loss patter, hair loss classification, genetics, habits, diet if hair loss continues.

I have dandruff and hair loss then I shaved my hairs my density increased but still there is existence of dandruff along with some very very tiny hairs falling out. Will&nbsp;PRP&nbsp;be able to regrown my hairs?

Different factor play a role in androgenic hair loss. Genetics is a main one from the X chromosome of your mother side. In this early stage, I will recommend to start with a more conservative management such as PRP with at least 4 sessions. There are other treatments that can be very helpful and are evidence base medicine such as nutraceuticals from nutrafol or ISDIN, oral meds such as finasteride, topical minoxidil and LED therapy for hair loss.

PRP is an effective treatment but results may vary from patient to patient. PRP is always a good conservative therapy. I recommend at 4 sessions.

Is PRF effective for making hair grow?

PRP kits such as integrity, REGEN, or Eclipse have different protocols. In my practice we recommend at least a maintenance treatment every 6 months. If you hair loss is more than anticipated despite nutraceuticals or oral medications I recommend PRP more often.

What generally is the required frequency after the first course of PRP injections? Does it gradually decrease with time? What is the frequency years (1-5) later?

As an aesthetic doctor I will recommend to start a conservative treatment for at least 8-12 months. Starting with good habits, less stress, 7-8 hr of sleep, oral nutraceuticals, oral or topical meds scubas finasteride or minoxidil, LED therapy and PRP at least 4 session. Then do an assessment and consider a hair transplant once you try all these alternatives.

Hi, I'm in my early 30's and are starting to loosing hair (runs in my genes). I want to use a hair transplat as a last option/solution and are considering gettting 4-5 PRP treatments with 1-1,5 month in between and an yearly follow up. Is it suitable for my hair or do you recommend me to get the hair transplant? Thanks in advance

Answering your questions in more detail. Different factor play a role in androgenic hair loss such as genetic predisposition (linked to chromosome X from your mother), stress, environment and diet to mentions the most important. Taking care of your hair loss at easy age can delay the hair loss process. If you want to avoid finasteride, there are alternatives like the ones that you mention. Example topical minoxidil, PRP and LED therapy. Also other good alternatives off label are topical dutasteride. Studies are showing good results and is something to keep an eye.

No finasteride. 29 old male and notice my hair is starting to thin. My father not bald and neither is grandfather on both sides. I do have 1 uncle on my moms side who is bald. The other 2 brothers have hair. One perfect and the other Norwood 3/4. All 3 aged 70-75. I notice my hair is resembling my fathers. He is 65 and Norwood 2/3 with reduced density vs recession. He does have less density on the crown. I have been diagnosed by a hair specialist as Norwood 2 with mpb. Can prp and minox alone improve/maintain?

It depends. I can not see the before and after pictures here. If you have a significant hair loss but in your scalp there are hair follicles you can do more than one session. Actually I recommend at least 3 sessions. There is no standard protocol to when to do the maintenance session. at least to it every 6 months.

I had 3 PRP sessions about a year ago, 11 months to be precise. I saw improvements after about 4 months. I haven't had any maintenance sessions since. Should I go for 1 maintain session or should I have 3 sessions again (as they say maintenance session should be done after 6 months)?
