I had a red mole removed 10 days ago and I've had pain since my stitches were removed, is this concern? (Photo)

The doctor put three stitches after removing the mole. He said it would probably bruise, and it did. My stomach and back have been hurting off on on ever since. The stitches were removed 2 days ago.

Have you asked your family doctor or a Dermatologist to evaluate this mole or any others that may be "hiding". The fact that half the mole fell off does not necessarily mean that it is benign. Curretting off the skin lesions leaves the least amount of discolorations and is quick and easy. You should consider a light chem peel about 2 weeks later to blend everything nicely.

I would recommend not removing the steri strip that is bloody 2 days after your mole removal and just put a fresh piece over it to make it look better.  Taking the strips off now could damage your sutures.
