Had septal perforation repaired and anxious about possible reopening?

28F, 125lbs. Had repair on 1cm perforation in Nov 2023. Doc did flaps and AlloDerm method to close the hole and also had turbinate reduction. I get really bad anxiety because I still get congested & boogers. I do use saline spray and use Aquaphor to keep things moist but when I shine my light up there I feel like i see small pinholes possibly where the sutures were. Also seems like the septum is really thin behind where the hole was? Is it possible the hole will reopen?

Answer: If your perforation is closed eight months after surgery, it should remain closed.
