Raised Mole Removal -Plastic or Derm?

Question

I have 2 flesh-colored raised moles on my face. Derm has looked at not suspicious for malignancy. I want them removed Derm didn't want to do it, didn't think scar would be worth it. Do I find another derm or go to facial plastic surgery?

Mole removal begins with a comprehensive examination and consultation to determine the likelihood of a mole being worrisome. Excisional and incisional biopsies are reserved for suspicious moles. But it’s good news that most moles are not problematic and are only cosmetic, thus leading to the option of scarless or non-surgical mole removal with lasers and RF and plasma. Our office specializes in non-surgical mole removal.

I would recommend seeing a facial plastic surgeon to have the raised moles on your face removed.  Normally, raised moles can be shaved off without needing sutures.  This usually does not leave a very noticeable scar.
